Editing a Collection

  1. Open the Collection
Go to Collections in the left sidebar and click the collection you want to edit.

  2. Edit Details
Click the Edit (pencil) icon to update:

    • Name

    • Description

    • Navigation Group and Navigation Label

    • Icon

    • Sort Order

    • Enabled/Disabled status

Save changes to apply them immediately across the platform.

  3. Adjust Fields
Use the Fields tab to add, remove, or reorder fields as your data requirements change.

Tip: Every change is reflected instantly for all users and recorded in the activity log.

Deleting a Collection

  1. Open the collection’s Settings tab.

  2. Click Delete Collection (trash icon) at the bottom.

  3. Confirm the deletion prompt.

Important considerations:

  • Deletion permanently removes the collection and all its records.

  • Relationships to other collections, people, or facilities will break.

  • There is no undo—export your data first if you need a backup.

Best Practices

  • Disable Instead of Delete
If you’re unsure, toggle Enabled off. This hides the collection from everyday users while keeping data intact.

  • Export Before Deleting
Download a CSV of your data to preserve a snapshot for audits or future reference.

By editing carefully and deleting only when certain, you keep your data model clean without losing important historical records.
